Kim Corneliuson

CPA & Partner

Kim Corneliuson

Kim’s primary responsibility includes overseeing the daily operations of the firm and managing the accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax staff. Kim is a CPA who earned her business degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. She is the past president and is a current board member of the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants (PASBA) and is currently on the School Advisory Council at Notre Dame Academy in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

Carl Corneliuson

Partner

Carl Corneliuson

Carl manages the client development and marketing staff, and oversees the firm’s IT operations. He works closely with small business clients on developing and operating efficient and profitable businesses. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota and has served on the boards of several professional accounting associations. He is a former Trustee and Chair of the Finance Council for St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church in Hopkins, MN. He is a past board member and grateful recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants (PASBA).

Mike Miano

Mike joined the firm in 2018. He is experienced in working with the owners of small businesses to develop tax and business strategies that maximize profitability and save in taxes. He is a graduate of the University of MN and the Carlson School of Management with degrees in Finance, Economics, and Accounting.

Greg Gmiterko

Greg joined the firm in 2008 and has over 30 years of small business accounting and tax experience. Currently, Greg works with small privately held companies and S-Corporations, reviewing financial statements, consulting and performing tax planning and preparation. Greg is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a BS in Accounting.

Ting Zhou

Ting joined the firm in 2018 he holds active CPA licenses in the USA, China, and Canada. He has extensive experience in Auditing, Accounting, and Tax in China and North America. He is a Certified ProAdvisor of Quickbooks Online. Ting is a graduate of McGill University, a top university in Canada.

Jim Bremer

Jim Bremer

Jim joined the firm in 2019. He has 25 years of experience in public accounting in Minnesota and Wisconsin. In addition, he was the Controller for a busy medical practice for 10 years. He enjoys working with small and medium-sized businesses and their owners with tax preparation, planning, and accounting. Jim is a graduate of Winona State University with a BS in accounting and has been a CPA since 1987.

Chris Painter

Chris joined the firm in 2024 and is an active CPA. He started his career working for the Minnesota Department of Revenue 13 years and made the switch to public accounting in 2022. Chris is a graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul with degrees in Accounting and Finance.

Michael Fessler

Michael joined the firm in 2022. He has a BA from Bethel University, and an MA from Concordia University – St. Paul. Michael works directly with the Owners and serves as the firm’s management lead. Among a host of other things, he creates and organizes financial reports, oversees accounting data for accuracy, and serves as a leader in terms of office culture, policies, and procedures.

Emily Denio

Emily joined the firm in 2024. She has a BA in Journalism from the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities. Emily works with the firm as the receptionist and assists with social media efforts. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts and rock climbing.

Meng Lee

Meng joined Corneliuson & Associates in 2021. He has his Associate’s degree in Accounting from North Hennepin Community College. Prior to working at our firm, Meng worked in the accounting department at a law firm. He has always had a passion for working with numbers and enjoys using his skills to resolve discrepancies.

Patricia joined the firm in 2020. She has 3 plus years of payroll experience as well as over 25 years of experience in management and sales in several industries. In addition to all of this experience, Patricia holds Certificates in Makeup Artistry and Massage Therapy.

Lea has over a year and a half of experience in payroll, accounting, and bookkeeping, including experience in payroll and accounting for another country (Belize). She is working on her associate’s degree in accounting and her FPC certification.

Bill Bartram

Bill Bartram joined the firm in 2015 to find and assist new clients in transitioning to Corneliuson & Associates. Bill brings a wealth of experience both as a working CPA and a current business owner. He has built, managed and sold his own medium-sized business. He has worked as a CPA in a “Big Four” accounting firm. He has also worked as a corporate controller. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado (Boulder) and holds a CPA certificate (Inactive).

Patrick joined our organization in 2019. His experience in contacting business owners to discuss accounting services goes back to 2009 and really brings energy and enthusiasm to his work. His main responsibilities here are to work on developing leads to new clients for the firm, and he does this with a smile and dedication. Patrick graduated from Totino-Grace high school and works part-time here and also works part-time as a Personal Care Attendant for a blind woman. He is a kind, giving, and sociable person and is always eager to help out who he can.
